Dena Yago (b. 1988, New York, NY) is an artist, writer, and strategist. Currently, she is the founder of How Soon Is Now, a consultancy for cultural, brand and social strategy and creative based in New York and Los Angeles.
As a strategist, Dena has worked on projects for Tesla, Hulu, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, Netflix, Fullscreen Media, Viacom, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and fashion brands such as Eckhaus Latta and Telfar Global
Dena’s essays and interviews have appeared in publications including Texte zur Kunst, e-flux journal, 032c, Frieze Magazine, Garage Magazine, TANK Magazine and Flash Art International. She has been a visiting critic at the Yale School of Art since 2012, as well as a visiting artist at Universtiy of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Otis College of Art and Design, and the School for Visual Arts.
Dena holds a B.A. in Visual Arts and German from Columbia University.
